The city is beautiful and I'm happy to be a traveller. At 10:30 at night, we called a taxi to take us somewhere just out of town so we could camp with no people. He took us to the ideal spot! It was a Christian summer camp -- much the same feel as presqu'ile, and because the summer was over, it was closed for the season. We had a beautiful spot with nicely trimmed grass to pitch our tent. We wanted to have a fire, and we found a wall of chopped wood -- birch and cedar at our disposal. It was a SWEET DEAL. I busked on the streets of Quebec City by Chateau Frontinac to make some money that would help us buy dinner. In 40 minutes I made 7$ and a guy put a rose in my guitar case. It was beautiful.
ON THE BUS TO FREDRICTON... 6:00am
I feel so effing hung over... It's been nine hours on the bus. I woke up to see a beautiful sunrise over the treeline in new brunswick with a crazy fog settled over everything. It was amazing. I only wish I was more alert and not so groggy from a horrible sleep on the bus. I've really got to get used to sleeping on the move. New Brunswick is so cute. Little rural houses dot a mostly forest-covered/rocky landscape. There are lakes and thick, forest-covered hills everywhere that would be amazing to camp on. Camping on a lake would be great! I am really filthy. I haven't showered since the 4th and I've been wearing the same clothes. I washed my hair in the bus station sinkand did a general clean, but judging by the blackness of my feet and the various smells I experience (accompanied by the sneaking suspision that its me) I think a mor thorough cleansing is in order.
