This time last year I was on a bus running from God

I realized that this time last year I was on a greyhound bus between PEI and Winnipeg. I set off from owen sound to halifax-- camping out in parks and local backyards.. Then worked my way west to vancouver (hitting up an amazing folk festival in manitoba and sleeping through Saskatchewan).. Then I made my way to the yukon-- kayaking 20km of the yukon river in late october. It was amazing.
The biggest part of the trip was how much God refined me. In the quiet times (and i mean 10-43 hours a sitting while in a car or bus) it was such a painful experience.. even despite the glorified image of a backpacking adventure. It was everything you could hope that sort of trip to be.. But oh how God seizes his opportunities. On a 40 hour bus ride you can run from God. You can run for 2 hours or maybe even 20. But He loves you enough and He will get you. It was 2 months of crying out to him in my journal as I saw everything filthy inside of me.. But be encouraged. He lifts us out of it and blesses us with wisdom.
Some amazing and REALLY crazy 'God-stuff' took place on this trip. I'm a big fan of face-to-face.. So if you are interested in a more detailed account of this time, please find me in person (in the halls of Tyndale or streets of toronto-- even if we've never spoken before).. And I will be excited to tell you about how great he is..
