The winter wind (aka I'm sorry for the cheese)

The winter wind is swirling outside my window and I feel so cozy and comfortable in my livingroom on my couch. My mum called me from Owen Sound and they're getting 10-15cm of snow an hour.. Some of the roads are closed and it is supposed to last for the next three days. I'm so excited. It is amazing to be a kid in Owen Sound in the winter. Every morning we would listen to the radio with our fingers crossed hoping to hear our school's name broadcast... Snow days were that magical time when you could sleep in, catch up on the project you didn't do that was supposed to be due that day and as well the day when everyone grabs their GT or crazy carpet and hits the hill. Being 6 and jumping off the roof of my house into the snowbanks.. Sigh. How wonderful.

January/February marks the year anniversary of the Lord beginning new works in me. I feel so humbled to have been brought this far and blessed so much. He's such a god of order. To see the progression upon looking back has been incredible. As I see all the snow falling outside right now think about there being one snowflake for every blessing I've received.. and as I think about how blessed I feel and how often the Lord gives good gifts to His children, I wonder if there are enough snowflakes-- maybe it's not snowing hard enough. He loves us that much? How can it be? I'll never fully understand His love but I'd like to try.
