Facing a giant

I pinkie-swore my husband that I would go to bed at 10:30pm. He said he would to. I'm sitting at the computer, he's playing video games with his brother.

We're awake.

We've had a couple of late nights in a row due to uncontrollable events and we've compensated by sleeping in on those days. This has inched our internal clocks about 2 hours out of what we'd consider to be "normal". 10:30pm bedtimes and 7:30am mornings have been replaced by 12:30pm bedtimes and 9:30am mornings!I feel rotten. My body is mad at me and my spirit is suffering because my time to be silent and meditate has been stolen by my weak will.

With that, I'll be sauntering off to bed. I'll set my alarm to 7:30am.

We'll try again tomorrow.

Mat and I get up every morning just shortly after 7am. But some nights we'll go to bed as early as 8:30pm. For us it's the mental exhaustion of the day that carries us to bed so early. It's rare now that we're up any later than 11pm.
